Default Weird question but...

I have received an oily part in the post from someone by the name of Neil Williams, Warrington in cheschire...but it's not for me

I have no idea what this part is and becuase its oily I think its form a Landy...and I guess someone needs it as it was carefully wrapped up so can someone please contact me if you:

a: are Neil Williams
b: are expecting a hollow metal tube/pipe, about 16-18 inches long with a rubber gromit thing at one end.

If I font hear by Monday I'll post a pictre of this item, maybe someone can then associate to a vehicle and I'll post in the right section.

Thanks for anyones help

It should be a Disco1 seat membrane!
Damn! My missus must have mixed-up the labels.
Some poor MGB-V8 owner is likely scratching his hed wondering why his dipstick-tube is all floppy.
I'll send a PM to explain!

Ive nearly done that so many times! When you've packed everything up but haven't stuck on labels, sooo easy to put the wrong label on!

Guys,
I can't remember the last time that I laughed this much.
The first post is nothing without the second, but try reading the first again once you have read the second.
It really cracked me up, ten minutes with tears in my eyes.
lol
Oh btw I'm on my 4th glass of red.

All sorted now, the dipstick tube will be heading to its rightfull owner and I look forward to receiving the seat membrane

It made me chuckle too when I opened it up and was expecting a floppy seat membrane...only to find a metal tube..I was perplxed and bemused - still all sorted now.

Thanks people, glad everyone had a good chuckle

Not necessarily, Triumphs use oily bits too, only usually smaller than Landys.
