Looks like you had a nice peaceful time, away from the rat race..

No dents form the moutain bikers then, that was lucky, must have made then think about going a little slower coming across you.

Its taking a long time to up load photos.

These photos of rock step, it's quite rough in places can't get a true feeling for it off the photos.

Yes it was a peaceful three days just out on my own, mountain bikers were ok had to do some shunting to make room for them to pass.

Sat at the top of parkafell looking down Coniston had another brew or two no rush!!!

First day did a road north of Kendal off the Shap road then headed to Shap to stay overnight, broke down in the pouring rain the RR lost power lifted bonnet diesel was pi**ing out of the side of the injector pump, luckly I had an O ring the right size in my tool box.
Next morning over to the Old coach road Nr Keswick then breaky at Glenridding mmmm.
Made my way over to Coniston booked in at the pub then off to Parkafell road, took my time and got back to the pub for 7pm quick pint shower then dinner and more pints. Good food at the pub btw.
Next morning up and away early up and over walna scar road, met quite a few walkers but stopped switched off the engine each time all were ok with me, one even came over to the RR and thanked me for waiting for him.
Over the other side the sun was shining and getting very warm made my way over to the coast at Haverigg, used to stay there as a kid spent the afternoon on the beach & swimming before returning to the pub for my last night, more pints and good food.

Hope to have another few days soon !!!

Will post some more pics later.

Nice pics - persevere with the uploading - it's worth it!
We were in Grizedale at the end of September last year and drove the same track. That rock step can a nasty one - why is it that photos make it look so small? A Suzuki (spit) needed winching up it when we were there. It's on quite a hill, with a drop to the right and needs respect.

Yep it is quite a step, when i walked up it there are some big holes you have to drop your wheels into, so must keep it going I have Grizzly claws on the RR didnt spin a wheel once so worth the money if you can put up with the noise.

    Should have posted these first.

This road is north of Kendal off the Shap road you have to cross a river bed and open a gate on foot, got me feet wet well I did have sandles on and it was a nice warm day, cleared one or two boulders from the river bed first then drove across it no probs.

looks good graham , lol gave the mountain bikers a scare then .. my last outing i came across mountain bikers the lead bloke with tight pants almost rode right into a cow at break neck speed , i had stopped he just missed me not so much as slow down to pass me or a thanks as i had stopped , the rest slowed down and and either waved or thanked me , the leader must have been the ignorant knob jockey lol
