Good to hear the praise for this tyre - this is the way I'm leaning for my new landy.
I was just quoted 650 for 5, fitted and balanced - is that a long way off what others are paying? Seems about 45 pounds more than buying from Paddocks but that doesn't include fitting.
Hi Mav, 650 seems to be about right once balancing is included etc. You won't be sorry with the tyres. I have just got back from a weeks worth of laning in Wales and gave these tyres a darned good exercise and they were simply superb in every situation. Bear in mind that this was also with 2 people plus all the gear associated with camping for a week in the rain too.
Then after all that they'll happily cruise you home on the motorways without flinching.
I do not often endorse things but these are great tyres and IMHO much better than the original BFG MT and KM. As such get the Geo. seal of approval![]()

Thanks Geo!
So depending on the condition of my second hand wolf rims I'm picking up on Thursday, I could have these mounted in a few days![]()
While we have our tyre heads on a mate just told me he picked up some KUMHO Road venture MT kl71s anyone had any experience with them?
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....enture+MT+KL71 I could only quickly find and american view of them but he said his were around £80 each? they look pretty good, but has anyone tried them yet.

The KL71s seem to hole the side walls a lot easer.

I was thinking of them for my Pinzgauer if I can,t find any Michelin XZL in 8.25x16, does anyone have experience of them on a heavier LWB that regularly carries a lot?
How do any of you handle directional tyres and one spare? Have a different (unidirectional) tyre on spare?

Run them for some time now and they are superb. Used to run Grip edge ATs, also a set of Trac edges and the KM2s are
Quieter
Smoother
Grip like stink on tarmac even in the wet
Off road they are amazing. I have never felt more in control.
I know it sounds daft but my 90 seems to like them betterand is happier cruising at higher speed.

Quote from Tyrerack:"The Road Venture MT KL71 features a cut- and chip-resistant tread compound molded into a directional pattern comprised of packed center blocks, alternating width shoulder lugs, mud/stone ejector bars and aggressive sidewall lugs that provide the biting edges needed to dig through mud and travel along trails, "
Are they wrong, Geobloke? Or were you referring to the BFG?

I went with the Mud Terrains in the end. Only done a few miles and up to 60 there is no discernable difference in tyre noise. Hoping to take them playing soon!
