I disagree... if this was Land Rover they would:

1. Ignore the problem

2. Tell all unhappy customers that "they all do that"

3. laugh at you from afar once your warranty ran out (in 1998 LRs only had 1 year warranty remember! - Nissan is fixing cars that are well out of warranty)

4. Carry over same design fault into next three genrations of product.
