I had my first bit of decent off roading (not unintentional I hasten to add) when a few of us went to a local club's birthday bash.
Silver lake provincial park a mere 246.95 miles away, was the meeting place.
There is a disused railway line come trail-way which is totally legal to drive on and which must stretch a few hundred kilometers. we joined that for a few hours taking in the sights in the Canadian wilderness and just generally enjoying the day.
The evening was spent getting to know other silly people over a beer or two.
Next day was pretty well all off roading. some of the trails lead nowhere,to say someone decided this bit of bush looks good for a lark lets "cut" and i use that term loosely - a path and see if anyone can do it.others were more used but still lots of fun crossing small rivers and the infamous mud puddles
The night excursion was also interesting as woods are as dark as you armpit or any other part of you anatomy come the think of it.
All in all around 50 rovers took part, lots of series, disco's, rangey's an Lr3 and of course yours truly.
Next day after the proverbial festivities we all drove/limped/towed home accordingly.
If you are into this kinda stuff it would be well worth bumming a ride a sometime, should you happen to find yourself here in Canada.
