Hi all
I am looking to have a family holiday in Ireland in the near future but the range of the disco is a cause for concern of about 150 miles ... i did manage 80 once but that was on a track ...
so whats it like looking at a week in wiklow and another in kerry
in addtion what addapter (if any) will i need?

You need an adaptor.. it's a threaded fitting. None of mine would work.
Also... LPG was only a few cents cheaper than petrol.. Petrol works out at about 70p.

Thanks for this will source an adaptor, have to use LPG as the range on Petrol is about 40 miles ...
an holday thats expensive on fuel for me then !

The standard filling connection in the Republic of Ireland is the Acme connector: the outside diameter of the one used is 1.75" (45mm). You may need an adapter if this is not the norm in your country. Some Irish outlets have adapters, particularly those near the ferry terminals, but it would be better if you obtained one in advance of travelling to Ireland. Over the next few years, this is expected to be resolved with the adoption of a standard European connector system.

Thanks, i also thought it a bit odd that ireland was under the uk list but it was there!
hum looks like i am going to the one part of Europe where LPG is harder to find than here!
off to go and find an adapter i can buy of ebay
