engine wanted

Hi

I need an engine for my series 111 109,, currently has a 2.25 diesel fitted which has suddenly started to sound like a bucket of bolts in a washing machine...:eek:
Would like a good 5 bearing 2.25 diesel or something that will go straight in with minimal changes.. cant afford the help of a mechanic so will have to do the work myself... would consider a 2.5 petrol or diesel..

Would love some extra power, but think i will stick to the KISS method and go for a take the current engine out and whack the new one in with little or no mods

i have a 2.25 diesel that looks as though its blown a crank oil seal and not much else....

Is it a 5 bearing? can it be heard running or is it already removed? and finally the million dollar question.......how much?

May have a line on a sherpa engine but am still looking for a cheaper option:rolleyes:

well it's out of a truck so it can't be heard running. it's from a late S3 so likely 5brg, will get engine number to check though.
