Yes, it was a good Christmas wasn't it? Lots of prezzys. Almost all of them so I can do some work around the house. Why is it that if men get power tools it is okay but if women get power tools (like kitchen appliances) there is H**l to pay? I got an air nailer and compound cut-off saw and am tickled pink, but I couldn't imagine what would have happened if I had gotten SWMBO a new blender or toaster or something. Of course then, the tools I got will build us a new garage, how in the blazes could she help do that if I had gotten her a new blender? I guess it does make some sense after all.

It sure rained on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! Beautifull sunny day today. I got invited to go for a canoe paddle on the lake by our place but was committed to taking our youngest son shopping for some winter coats. He's looking at going on a survival camp in a few weeks and is supposed to prepare for -30 weather and here we are wanting to go for a paddle. Bit of a paradox, paddling on a lake in Canada in the winter and at the same time dressing up for -30.

We had a great white Christmas here in Whistler but I had to work it as per normal. We get to celebrate Ukranian Christmas in a few weeks so I don't mind.

My family bought my wife a power sander so that she can repaint our house and she was totaly stoked. So I guess it's OK to give them power tools outside of the domestic chores realm. The bonus is that she wants to do all the sanding now, which is fine by me, I hate sanding.
