The brakes an easy job rob just replace instead of ******ing about a new caliper is forty quid often the best course of action.

I got a complete hand brake if you need it sure the cable still there but not sure.

Hi Rod,
Nahhh...its only the pads I have to sort....just that the calipers are covered in mud and I can't be arsed jacking it up, jet washing the relevent parts and then fidling about with split pins etc in -5 degrees!! :D Both Landys look like someone has been out in the night and covered them in icing suger..

Those rear pads have only lasted about a thousand miles!!

The hand brake just needs adjusting, thats all it is..but again, too cold to be laying on icey mud.

I also want to wire up my spotlights, but I dont know where to begin on that one! :(

Mine mostly done.

Thank god I hate shopping.

Rob the brakes are a ten min job per side as long as the pistons dont stick.
As for jet washing the mud comes off with a wire brush. Handbrake cable you do from inside the cab lift the passenger and the middle seat base remove the two metal panels and you have all the access you need to adjust the hand brake again ten min job. Come on man get her on the road. Ok I can talk mine not going yet but hey she nearly there.

Oh yeah.

Bring it round I will wire your spot lights. As long as you have a relay cable and a switch.

So Rob you've discovered the joys of driving through mud, I replaced my rear pads, drums, and a complete handbrake (backingplate, pads, cable) so it'll be pretty goosed in there I would've thought.
I've promised myself to do more preventative post off road maintanance, yeah right! Sod the spots get the thing tested and then titivate, it will snow and were you live the landy could be a plus!:)
