Aye,

Been to that link, seen that photo. Isn't that 2002?

Have a look at

members.lycos.co.uk/rob_off_road

Most of the photos are missing and all the video. Its 2002 as well, but boy does that descent look fun!

Re: Walna scar road

Hi there

Did this route a couple of weeks ago and it was easy and very scenic. Try the Garburn pass for more of a challenge !

best regards
Roy

Thinking of doing garburn my self but havn't been up it in years (about 10) and concerned about he quarry section. theres a tight turn we did in the 88 I had then and not sure if I will ding the back end in my 109. any thought.

Re: Walna scar road

The exit by the farm is realy tight, could be too tight for a 109. and prior to that there's a little chicane, which will take a bit of shunting....overhang at the rear could be a problem.

I dunno if i'd try it in a 109. May be you'd best grab a ride in SWB first. It's a bit hard to turn around and go the other way!

Wow! I used to use walna scar all the time for mountain biking/hiking. Used to live in Torver near coniston and only once saw anyone up there in a Landy (think he was a farmer) Always used to think how much fun it would be so went back there in a beach buggy once! Had huge fun on just the first bit. I alway thought that there was a really narrow bit near the top that would cause problems, but must be wrong. SO glad to here that its do-able.

Mental note: Must hurry up and buy Land Rover!!
