facet Type fuel pump

New V8 fitted and running just setting the carbs up tonight and the fuel pump died !

any one got a facet type pump about ?

ive got one , not sure if it will be anhy good for a v8 though , it was on a 2.25.

Just a word of caution :( . I bought one of the unbranded electric one's on sale from all the suppliers at the moment . Didn't even last a year . It began stopping when the car was at idle - a wee tap usually got it started again - but it really ruined one of my off roading trips .
Got a proper Facet red top on ebay for about 70 quid delivered next day - hope it lasts a tad longer :o .

I got one of them brandless jobbies but that will do for the test run !

im itchign to drive the dam thing !! its all done but the fuel pump !

so the brandless will do till after christmas when i have some more cash ! then a proper jobbie is going on !!

Hi Matt ,
och , i may have just had a bad one - i'm sure you will be ok ;) . At least it would re start after a few taps with a big spanner ;) .
I was just annoyed that i had forked out on a fuel pump that i expected to last for years :( . After all , if i had bought a new car then i would have expected no troubles for the first few years :( .
Let us know how the maiden voyage goes :) .
