I'm sure there were a few on the Peaks trip the other weekend who thought I was slightly mad taking my shiny motor out on those lanes...

...but I have some even more mad mates over on www.disco3.co.uk (http://www.disco3.co.uk) who took their shiny Discovery 3's (along with a pair of Defenders too) to Morocco to compete in the Protrax Desert Storm 2006 event.

Do you know who took the video? One of the voices behind the camera sounds very much like my mate Mac who was there overseeing the event.

Mac was one of the guides we had when we went out to Morocco with the LRO club last month. When Vince and Ed were off doing the Recce for the Desert storm, it was Mac who took the lead.

He stayed out there for the challage so definatly was there.

Top bloke, ask him about the "dry" river bed!

Yep, top bloke. Worked with him many times over the years before he was de-mobbed and still remains a good mate.

Been to Morocco twice with him when he wasn't 'working'. Do a search for our MORONS (Moroccan Overland Rebels On Nomadic Safari) adventure.
