Hi,
If you cannot find the right axle you can pick-up a RR one (as they are far more common) and either fit it as-is with the discs or swap-over your drums. Everything should bolt-on. The caliper mounting lugs will be redundant but I dont think they get in the way.
Worth a try? No?
Whatever axle you buy, check the radius-arm fixings they rust!!!!!!

Thanks for the info.
Either type of axle will do as you mention they are pretty similar.

Snapped off one my rear radius arms about 3 months ago - due to rust.

Just waiting for the other side to go now.
Went laning yesterday with a friend and he snapped one too. Luckily I had plenty of chains and strapping (just incase mine went) so we secured his axle up to the chassis and limped home about 25mph.

Its definately a weak point.

Paddock Spares do a repair (or conversion) kit. ACCPM729 @ £12/pair plus VAT

Get a tame welder on the case.

I have a spare casing but too far to carry and the postman's bike's a bit rickety. That said, with the diff and all the internals and stub-axles removed they are surprizingly light.
