Ok so my friend has finally bought a proper slide scanner. So therefore some pics of his that we have scanned from last year's Angola trip, as I did not yet posess a digital.

My defender (Muehle) has since undergone some subtle mods.

Pic 1: Leba pass (between Lubango and Namibe, used to be Santa de Bandeira and Mocamedes)
Pic 2: Potholes, road to Cahama
Pic 3, 4 and 5: pass the broken down truck in the narrow pass
Pic 6: Kunene river upstream from Epupa Falls in early morning light
Pic 7: main road
Pic 8: road to Foz de Cunene
Pic 9: Before sun up on the beach from Foz de Cunene to Tombua
Pic 10: Da dunes
Pic 11: Relax in Babas, north of Namibe, yes, people do live in those ruins..

Hope you enjoy

Frank

Hi Kevin,

you are more than welcome. Next trip to Angola is planned for end December, fishing with the boys. Middle of next year probably Mozambique again.

Cheers Frank

Nice trip Frank...

Yeah Marc, thanks.

This again a demonstration of the reliability of a Defender. At the time 180.000 km, one vehicle, no problems. We would have been up s**t creek without a paddle if it had given us any trouble, especially from the border up to Tombua, but she just carries on. I am a very happy Defender driver. :)
