Our club Vice President arranged access to some private land at Bethalls Beach on the West Coast, only 20km from central Auckland on Sunday.
30 Land Rovers were in attendance, including 3 V8 90s, 2 Series 2s, a flat-deck 110 and an ex-Land Rover Experience NZ Tdi Disco.
An excellent day was had by all, I don't think anything got broke, and just look at that mid-winter weather!

Looks like you had a fun time over there. :) Nice day too but nothing like we get here in G'sOC (as a long ago Premier of this State descirbed it  ).
Intrigued by the colour of the sand. Where is Bethalls Beach? Nice collection of Landys - any other pictures? :D

Only got a couple of the line up of the 30 trucks, from a distance, nothing really worth posting though. I put the camera-phone away once we got rolling so it didn't get full of sand, lke everything else did.
Bethall's is on the west coast of the Auckland region, on the northern edge of the Waitakere Ranges, about 30km north of Manakau Harbour entrance. The sand is full of volcanic matter from Taranaki (the big bulge halfway up the west coast of North Island, which is a huge, near perfectly conical valocano).
