Wasn't Geo's roof-rack enough of a lane clearance last Sunday?? :D :D

Count me in, you sure about the start point? SJ 20175 237780 seems nowhere near Glyn Ceiroig...

Have to plan which lanes I can take in on my way there and back :D

Well I've got the gardening gear loaded up ready for the morning :)

You are asked to bring safety footwear, hard hats and a high visibility vest if possible.

Always carry a hardhat and hi-viz in the truck for visiting building sites during the week - as I usually take them out before laning I had to put them back in

There should be a few people there. If they will be working up the V-gully. It might be quicker for you and Guy to come down the v-gully to get to the Glyn.

OK, I'll take a look - what's the routine? Park up somewhere and walk down the V-gully or just drive down? Don't fancy meeting traffic coming the other way

Paul Humphreys

You should be able to park on the top bit. I think it would be best to part someone at both ends to stop anyone driving as people are working.

Dave Rogers will be there to sort you all out.

Must have been a very big hole :D

We had a good time without you anyway - 3 Daves, Fi and 1 non-Dave!

I had to leave after doing the dog leg, great little lane :) Few tight spots for the RRC's

Best comment of the day was from a couple of walkers, when told we were doing a lane clearance they asked if we were the Ramblers Assoication !! ere not quite :D

Let me know when you're next in need of a hand... bit of work on the steps gets my vote (stop little 90s rolling over ! :D )

Eva missed out fella... hope your misses is better and you got some sleep.

Lots of snow on the Wayfarer on the way there, bit of pruning then a very good new lane (the dog leg). Lots of trail bikes about - a couple were even legal....

Few photos below, didn't manage to take any of the 2 RRC out with me, too busy with the loopers

Thanks for turning up (its not a go at Guy;) ). Sorry I could not get there but the stone was ment to be put by the hole. In the end we had to DIG it out of the quarry to fill the hole.

The Dog Leg is a good drive, coming up. At least Guy will not get his roof rack caught on the branches now:D .

Its ok that you had to stay home Guy these things happen, every time my wife gets ill I send her to the VETS. But they will still not put her down!!

I know Dave Rogers was happy with all that was done today. Also the one we did went well.

Got that hole filled when the drinks were ordered :D :D

Had no snow on the coast here for some time so it was interesting to drive on snow again

Great the way it can hide some of the nasty holes, lucky the Wayfarer is so gentle...

Hello Paul / all
Sorry I didn’t make it on Sunday: well I did but I didn’t? got up Sunday morning sandwiches & flask made for me by the dear wife, grabs a spade and pruning shears, press my key fob at the dear old Discovery and !!!!! Absolutely nothing happens? No click click of any of the door locks, no flash of the indicators? Looks at the key fob and the light is flashing when I press the button so I walk around my motor pressing the fob feverishly! Nothing!!? “Brain racing just like a banger race” “Ah relax” Twice recently in the cold weather the alarm has played up, so ordered some new battery’s for the key fob ready for this moment, so go inside change the battery’s in the key fob, go back out to the motor confident all will work and!!!!! What the F---? Nothing happens “HELP”. Desperation is hitting me in the face i.e. have arranged to meet you lads, how to get to work Monday how much is this going to cost, how do I get it to the garage etc etc ?
Hold on, (Brain wave) try using the key in the door lock like in the old days, yep key works but! Grrr the bloody alarm goes off 7.30 Sunday morning. Ok to cut to the chase, eventually disconnect the battery, disables the alarm and able to start motor, race to reach the meeting point with you guys but alas no sight of you, go for a ride round and back home, key fob/alarm still not working, radio not working – don’t know the code? F!*B!* motor; have just fell in love with the thing after sorting the turbo and this happens!!!!!!!!!!! I want me old series 3 back.
I WILL get to meet you chaps, maybe next time? Please invite me again.

Keith.

Hi Keith,

If its the single button key fob, theres a write up on here http://members.mud-club.com/library/?articleid=24 on reprograming it.

All the work was done anyway. But watch out for me post on a laneing day.

You were not to fat away from them if you were on the round about. A mile at most. We always seem to use channel 10 on the CB.

Theres always next time!!!

Hi Paul
Have sent a reply to you but don't know were its gone? any way try again.

Yes it is the single button type will go and have a look, thanks Paul.
Yea the irony is I bought myself a CB Saturday for the very reason of keeping in touch whilst off-roading, and actually sat and scanned the bands hoping to get contact with one of you, whoooo old on could that be the source of my problem with the alarm?!!!!! I only fitted the CB Sat night ready for Sun, I connected the CB power lead to the centre courtesy light for power, I wonder? Because the interior sensors for the alarm are by the light and I had the centre console down HMMM, will have to have a look as soon as possible.

Cheers Keith

Just curious, as its not on the OS map roughly where about is this lane? Close to your forest hole, Llangadfan sort of area?

Drove right past Dave and the others Sunday, SJ 20175 37780 seemed to be the pub the other end of the Glyn - just assumed CRAG RVs where in pub carparks :D
