Whatever you do - don't go through the car wash with them on! i had Halfords put mine on when i bought them - went to the car wash, parked up and asked the bloke - who said because they were lockabe roof bars they'll be ok. They were for the first and 2nd time then 3rd time i was going through and I heard clunk, bang! I thought nothing of it - thought it might the runners in the car wash banging if anything. Went off straight to a funeral - then went off to get a new battery for my spare key - parked up in the car park with Steve saying - "Why have you only got one bar on?" Brushes shoved the front one back into the back one which in turn threw it onto the track. Went back to car wash and retrieved it and then down to halfords who replaced the buckled fitting free of charge. You have been warned.

You never know - you may want the landy in absolutely pristine condition for something one day - i'd like the challenge of whether our car wash could actually cope with it - they are pretty good - 2 blokes on pressure washers b4 you go through the brushes.

I've got a couple of Thule bars 1.5 metres long virtually brand new if they're any good.

If so, how does a tenner plus postage sound ?

Let me know if you still need mine mate, I'll check up on postage just in case, but I'm sure it's not horrific, as I had them posted to me from an Ebayer. I just never got around to using them.

I've still got the Thule mounts as well, so might still have your bars - where in dorset are you and can it wait til we're next down your way as i'm in no immediate rush for them!?
