My partner has decided that its about time she got to grips with engines so is wanting a V8 to practice stripping and rebuilding.

Has anyone got such a thing they want rid of? Not got a huge budget but could donate some beer tokens to a suitable project.

Cheers in advance

Pity you're not further south!
I'm just ready to start rebuilding 'one good one from two bad ones' and a volunteer is worth two pressed men, as the saying goes. Though I can't see much use for two pressed men, now I come to think about it!
Now you've got me thinking...............Maybe there's a gap in the market...............Let me see now.................Yep. It's all coming clear now........

Forget the single seaters and the rally days. Karting is so last-year.....

<<<<MECHANICKING HOLIDAYS>>>>

For a bargain price you can send your loved one for that holiday of a lifetime in Historic Warrington, where they will get to strip real V8 engines, throw away lobe-less cams, scrape-out 24 piston ring grooves and spend hours splashing degreaser down their overalls.

Surprize your partner that chance of a lifetime: To assemble other people's new parts into cold alloy, force Vasenine into oil pumps and breath new life into a tired Buick block.
Price includes latex gloves and as many pies as you can eat.

Cheers for that mate.;) I think we're on to a winner here! :D :D :D

Maybe I ate too many blue smarties??

Where can she sign up????..lol. She would be down in a flash if she could!!

My V8 needs a bit of work (Cam etc.) but i won't let her loose on it..

I've got a 3.5EFI engine that's still mostly complete. It was using water & I don't know what the problem is. No water pump or injection gear/dizzy/starter/manifolds etc. Heads & rocker covers all still in place. £50 & it's yours.

I've also got a 3.9 if you want to spend a bit more. No known nasty problems but been standing for nearly a year in the vehicle without running (no dizzy/starter/injection gear etc.)

I've a complete R/R 3.5 V8 sitting just outside Edinburgh for £ 50 if you're interested.

Was running when the body "fell off" but it should be possible to hear it running if need be.
