Hi to all
I am after some door cards for my landy 90 (I think they are called cards but its the bits that cover the metal of your door to make em posh!!!)
I have two piece military type doors with the lift up handles not the normal defender/90 doors - suppose they are the same as the series vehicles.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The problem is that by the time people get rid of the door, the cards are bu&&ered too.
Paddocks do them in several guises, plain to De-Lux, a bit on the expensive side though.
The cheapest way, if you still have the old ones as a template, is to buy some thin ply or hardboard and cover it in Vinyl yourself.
If you want to be really clever you can do it without the template and even put some thin foam under the vinyl too.
Just fix them with self tapper's with cups under the screwhead.

Thanks for the tip, I duid buy some sheets of black leather affect vinyl to do this but wasn't sure whether to just cover the door bottoms as the top bit to the window curves and not sure if im handy enough for this?
If none turn up in the next week I will have to DIY it.

Make sure you waxoil or whatever the inside of the doors, putting linings on them makes them posher and warmer, but slows down the drying of any moistute that gets in them, so speeds up rotting.
I don't want to part with them, but I think I might have the remains of my 1964 SIIA ones somewhere (my landy is a work vehicle and when I replaced the rotten doors I didn't put the linings back ) and if you get stuck I will find them, send you a pattern and photos.

You don't cater the curved bit, you will find if you cut a piece of board to fit it will go up into the inside of the curve and sit under the overhang bit...If you see what I mean:rolleyes:

Well BigJim and MUngo, looks like I will be tatting again this coming week - much to my wifes delight but when she knows how much money Im saving Im sure I will escape the majority of the ear bashing.
I made a board to cover the back door this afternoon and also added a small drop down table that is supported via two chains and this is to sit my portable cooker on when we are camping - its slowly turning into a major off road camping mean machine at the mo, just can't wait for the spring now.
