Luke, you will need to make enquries now,as the ferries get booked up very quickly,if you want to take the landie, you may find that might be a bit difficult, although,if you give Steampacket a phone on 01624 645645, then they might give you the info you need,or you could check availability online, http://www.steam-packet.com/SteamPacket/search
We are going over on Friday June the 2nd > monday the 5th of June, just for a long weekend.
Pete do you know any local Wirral riders /passengers, Cheers Dave
There was an side car outfit from neston that used to compete, also Reg Lennon(,hes got a small bike shop in E port) rides in the vintage parade most years...

Although I dearly love my Landys, I would only go to the Isle on a bike  for the TT races.
It would feel like trying to off road in my Yaris
Hopefully i will get there in 2006, there is usually a large group from Aberdeen that heads down to Heysham for the ferry.

LOL.been there,done that,well,on the back of a Monster,get your point tho....
Main reason for taking the Landie,is to get away from the main hussle and bussle of Douglas, and be able to camp on the other side of the island, plus, when it rains,it alway good to be able to go somewhere and not get wet...

We hope to do some laning whilst over there,we did a few last year.

You can join us,no problem with that mate.
We will either stay at Kirk Michael (http://www.isleofman.com/accommodation/glenwyllin/)
Or at cronkaashen (http://www.cronkaashen.co.uk/).
Both sites are within a stones throw from the TT course, and we have stayed at both sites in the past.
Our ferry Leaves Liverpool 2nd June @ 13.15 hours arrives at 15.45.
Coming back, we are catching the last ferry on the Monday the 5th,23.30 sailing back to liverpool.:)

I wish i could. Last time i went was to watch Des Founds in his last TT race before he packed up. Your right Pete his son,s Chris and Pete raced TT and World F 1 sidecars. TTnot the same for me now the bike manufacturers dont put the shows on .Lost to many friends there (riders). Bikes to fast and some riders not expert enough at road racing not saying they are bad riders though.
Hero,s all of them Cheers Dave

Nice one, was going to say that i would meet you off the ferry, but you have no chance at that time in the morning.
The campsite is in a very good location for race watching,if you and your bro have mtbs or push bikes in general then i would strongly recommened you bring them with you as the campsite has a old rail line(cycle track) running through it from which you can access almost 10 mile of race action, beer in rucksack and away we go,no need to drive.;)

Yes,sorry for not meeting up Weedy,we took Toppa on a tour of the island and didnt get back to base camp til gone 9pm on the sunday night,we are booked on for next year so we will make extra special effort to meet up.
We had an absolute scream,we could not of asked for better weather, fires on the beach, plenty of beer we also went a did a bit of geocaching which was really fun at Tynwald and the racing action didnt let us down plus we got to some great vantage points to watch, all in all we had a prefect weekend, tho Toppa had a slight delay at heysham which made him miss the Superbikes race(good race btw).
Ill load up some pics in a while.
