Challisc ,
i assume it couldn't be welded ? . Presuming it's cracked or rubbed through by the exhaust etc ?

i have a casing, but its had a bearing seize, which caused an ovalised shaft hole where the little plate locates the shaft on the back.

forgive my description :D

it is repairable, if you were to machine the hole round and make a small alloy disk to locate shaft. its a fair bit of work if you havent got the equip....

Challisc ,
if it's cast aluminium ( and assuming you've nothing to lose!!) i could try and weld it . Also have some cast iron rods but i've never tried it !!.
The LT95 overdrive is yours - although it leaks some oil it does work and makes no noise - i even have the instructions courtesey of rovers down south in the states ( they have bought all the fairy stuff ) . If you want two old LT95's to go with it let me know - one is actually ok :) .

I'll take the OD then - Cant say no. ive got a very good gearbox and i'am just building a hybrid to use up all my spares. and have a bit of fun. but if you want to throw some gearboxes my way i wont say no. i'll proply end up blowing a few boxes.

Be my guest to weld the casing but i think its steel - dosent rust tho so may be aluminum not too shure, same metal as the gearbox itself. Hopefully i'll end up building two good overdrives. once ive striped it down if you trudle up one day you can take it back and have a bash, but i'lld say it would be nr impossable to fix - but i'am shure you'll like a challange!

Hi Rage,

Any chance you could scan them in and email me a copy before you give them to Chris??

I would be very grateful if you could.

Many thanks,

James - no problem i have them on my memory stick here so i'll mail them tonight . Quite a simple job just the shimming of the main shaft that seems a bit tricky - i managed it so it's nay too hard !.

Challisc - it will be aluminium and i'll certainly have a shot at welding it - it will probably weld ok for the first 5mm then completely disapear just as i start telling myself " i'm good at this caper " :D .
