Hmm... if you two are disappearing up into the Pennines, then is it a problem if I tag along? :)
In return, I'll take some photos. ;)

If you're willing to come up here and give a hand, then it will be on the road alot sooner.

Righty, ready for Sunday !
Spent today checking all fluids and ended up changing the gear and transfer boxes, well worth it !
then we had to fabricate a alternator bracket !
and finaly I put my waffle boards on the roof !
with a bit of luck I'll use them tomorrow
Just incase anyone else is heading up the M62 we are meeting at Birch services about 9:45 and will be on Channel 33 UK

Hi,
Whitworth is a old quarry 10 mins from Rochdale, look on multimap for Tong Lane thats the nearest lane that leads to it.
On the 2nd and 4th sunday each month they have a pay and play day for 4x4's but they also do days for bikes.... just not on same day !!!
There are non damaging green routes right the way through to "wild" stuff...
so any 4x4 will have a good day out there.... they have mud, hills and water.....
One of my favourite sites for playing in....
They also have toilets and food on site...
hope that helps

Another recommendation for Cowm. Really good place for vehicles and drivers of all capabilities. The course is pretty good, plenty to go at, and the red course is basicaly made up of detours off the green course - so you can choose which sections of the red you want to drive or skip, if any.
The 2a will be fine - in fact it'll be in it's element! I've seen all kinds of vehicles going round the quarry.
Burger vans and portaloos on site, and the blokes who run the place seem like a friendly bunch. Well worth a visit.
And, despite what the efforts of Alan Kemp and Strange Rover may have led you to believe, it isn't mandatory to roll your car. Keeping all 4 wheels on the ground is allowed... :D :D

REALLY ???
oh sorry.... will bare that in mind next time :D
In fact I'd say if you stick to the routes (red or green) you would be hard pressed to roll anything... in fact other than Alan and his rock climbing and me and my "detoures" have not seen anyone else do much harm at all !
