I am organising a Christmas forum meet if anyone wants to join in. Ultra 4x4 have a pay and play site and Obstacle course in North Wales. Price is normally £35.00 per vehicle but I have spoke to the guy at Ultra 4x4 and he will offer us a discount for group bookings. He said he will do the 28th Dec for £25 each providing a few of us turn up (10 vehicles or so). I know of at least 3 other people who may want to come so we should get the numbers.
So if anyone is interested please put your name down so I can book us in.

He uses a lot of sites around Chirk, but he also takes large groups green laning. I have seen him out with 17 Dutch Jeeps green laning, Is this what we need to see?

I wonder if he was anything to do wuth the 'large groups of foreign 4x4s' seen playing on some Mid Wales byways locally, ending up with them being TRO since the spring......

Maybe a visit to his site, as discussed, by members of this forum would provide an opportunity to get our point of view across?

Having met stuart at Ultra 4x4,
He is a nice bloke and has nice off road sites,
Can't comment on his laning but he seems lately to be gearing up for off road sites and private land, although some of the private land is accessed via green lanes....
I have said this before,
If information on green lanes was freely available and common knowledge I doubt many people could make a living by selling their green lane knowledge and also you would not get 10+ land rovers in organised groups... just my opinion but when I first got my land rover the only way I knew how to green lane was to pay for it and go in a group, I had no idea of the green lane issues.... now I do I only go in groups of 3-4 vehicles and have bought some maps and with help from Hoodo and others have a selection of lanes to drive to take family for days out.
Back to 28th.... if I can get Lyn away from the sales I'll be there, will know for sure bit closer

Hi, I have meet him a number of times. He uses 2 sites that our club (The Muddy Millers) uses for RTVs and other trials. I am not not saying dont use him. Just when he gos laning the group size should be smaller. 18 in one group is too much.
I see from your other post you have been to the site behind McDonalds. I have done RTVs there.

I agree with you, and yes groups should be smaller,
I do think the way he is going is more site only though....
which is a good thing,

Event Cancelled
I am going to cancel this event as there is not enough people to attend to get the discounted prices. I am probably just going to do a few green lanes on the 28th. I’ve not worked out a route yet but it will be around Bala area as that is where I will be staying over Christmas.

Hi,
A pity that you've had to cancel. One reason for the low take up may be that people have missed the post, I certainly did. In future it maybe a good idea to get Bernie to sticky it on the home page for a week or so.
Cheers,
Andy

Yes i think a lot of people may have missed this thread:( it therefore may be a good idea to get it made more visable the next time. sticky for a week or so may be good.
now that i have read it, the day sounded like a good idea for people in that area.
good luck next time.
