Why 20mph for trail bikes? Seems a bit fast to me.

5mph seems a bit fast for my Landy around there too, especially as the speedo needle thrashes around like a headmaster's whip at anything below 15mph:eek:

cheers, Tim

PS. Jandude, thanks for posting that:)

5mph on a bike is inherently unstable, with a bit of speed you have the physics and stuff to help keep you upright. Not all trail riders have trials skills or bikes with low enough gearing to do 5mph safely over rough terrain. Plus as they are only one wheel drive, momentum is a help to bump over rocks and clear tyres of mud to maintain forward motion and not 'slideways'.

seems reasonable aslong as they continue to let peeps drive it and don't slap it with a TRO.
