Once again a big thanks to bobzilla for the excellant job he did of orginising and guiding us around the plain, not a easy place to navigate. A excellant day was had....
Here's some piccy's,

They are good pic's... nice wide open spaces of freedom. I'd definately worry of the damage I'd do if it were my Landy going over those ruts.

No damage what so ever, the blue 90 was bog standard suspension, they are well within the limits of any landy, we just played it up a bit for the photo's,,, boys and their toys, you know how it goes...

Cheers

You guys over in the UK have some GREAT terrain...and some GREAT vehicles to tackle them with! I do envy you...but I still love my Discovery :D

We were on the plain on saturday (treasure hunt, great fun) but our day was more of a jungle adventure in places:rolleyes:

If at first you don't succeed, get a toothless parot!

OK... I've another stupid question..
Why do you need a navigator in each vehicle.. surely it's only the one at the front who needs to know where you're going, is it just an excuse to make a passenger feel useful so they pour & pass the tea?

DOnt need a navigator in each vehicle, just one at the front who knows what they are doing. But good to have company, and its fun in the passenger seat aswell...

Dave Hughes makes a excellant cuppa:D

Yup bigger bolts are the plan for the snorkel, although im going to disconnect it from the air filter anyway...

Great photo's bobzilla...

So it's more or less the same as being pillion on a motorbike... 'your life in their hands'... Got taken for a ride a while back & realised its quite nice to leave the control to someone else for a change.
Mind you I'm no lover of speed & a degree of trust is therefore required.
Never thought of it like that when younger just accepted the clishe's without giving thought to the meaning. Glad you had a good day all.
