Well there you go, thought it had been quiet too, and had no connection problems, I've been playing in the dirt,--------- 8.1 litre 4wd monster kicking out 300hp at the shaft at 1900 rpm. Unfortunatly the dirt had tatties in it and required lifting, will soon be done. Then I'll have my sundays back.
:D:D :D

I was *trying* to replace the UJs off my pick-up. I say *trying* ... got the old ones off, but couldn't get the new spiders to slot into the yoke, twas like bloody Candid Camera or summat ... measured them and the new ones are 5mm wider across  There was I preparing to spit blood at Craddocks, when I looked in the parts book and discovered I've ordered the wrong ones ... still they're right for the s3, which also wants doing :D

Glad to see some of you are still alive
Huey,
project Backs4more has officially been named "Boogers" on account of the green colour and liquids dripping from the bottom of her. Needless to say, it was my eldest daughter that came up with that one!
Good news and bad news with Boogers i'm afraid. Good news is now its fitted with new bumber, A-bar and spots (need to find someone who can help me wire them up) as well as steering guard and diff guards, big tyres and modulars.
Bad news is when I was cleaning up the chassis for waxoyling, I found a few holes. Taking it into Mann for assesment next week. Two holes are minor, finger sized jobbies, but on the inside of the left hand chassis rail I managed to find a fist sized hole (well, wasn't a hole until i poked it!!) just on the reverse side where the front radius arm joins the chassis. They think it should be ok..but we shall see...still have 5 months of MOT to go :D . Might just fill it with filler and carry on regardless
By the way, if you still have a bashed bumper, I have a good nick one sitting..a tenner and its yours.

Been on Holiday! Spent the week in Boat of Garten. Weather was good. Took Ye110w, which ran very well. Will work out the MPG for the trip later.
Cheers,
Ross.

If anyone is interested, averaged 28mpg. Not bad with the roof rack on.
If you're not interested, sorry for wasting your time....:D
