The 22nd has come and gone. Are you over here yet? All the boxes unpacked? Keep in touch here or on the Rover Landers site.

I'll be coming through Revelstoke on about October 23rd. I could stop and welcome you.

I'm here!
All the house stuff was already unpacked......the wife came back in June.

All the Land Rover/Unimog/garage stuff is still being sorted out.
Should have the 110 and Unimog ready for their out of province inspections by early next week.

Then there's all that nonsense about having to find a job and stuff!!

If you're passing through Medicine Hat anytime give us a shout. Revelstoke's a bit out of the way though!

Welcome to Canada! But Medicine Hat? How many Brits are they letting into the country? Who is moving to Revelstoke? I'm confused (as normal). There is another forum possibly, with someone leaving the UK for Revelstoke British Columbia. I'll visit 'them' on the 22nd or 23rd of October. Of course, it might be a bit hard to do if they haven't arrived yet, as I'll have a hard time finding their new address.

Cheers.

Yep. But it's REALLY gone down hill over the last few years.
There aren't as many MedMans these days, and the ones that do run are usually scaled down things.

Less exercising troops means less money for the 'bin. There are other places that take all the money now-a-days.

My annual October trip to my "little hunting cabin in the woods" will see me heading East this weekend. I usually make a day trip into Calgary and thought Medicine Hat wouldn't be too much of a stretch beyond that. After I consulted a map I found I was wrong. I guess you will have to get by this year without a visit from me.

Enjoy the winter!

Med Hat's quite a stretch past Calgary alright! Especially in a Land Rover!
Or at least Stus' Santana!

Well, if you're doing coast2coast on the No1 highway (very boring) you'll pass within about 2 minutes of my house.

Steve, If you are headed west, PM me at gsutfin@telus.net and I can suggest some alternate routes for you that would be WELL worth travelling. I might be a bit far west for your trip but I travel often on the roads I would suggest. Mind you, Highway #1 is still wonderful through B.C., the routes I would suggest are a bit more wonderful, slower and more relaxing too.
