They did play magnificently though. I wish we had a Rocococo and a Howlett or a Umaga :(

There was no shame in our defeat last week. We lost by 4 minutes and one handling error. :D

Yeh it was all nail biting stuff, could have gone either way with all 3 teams.

The Spingbok's were so quick up on defence and the Ozzies just broke through our back line so easily.

Roll on the next World Cup.

Yup,

Imagine a whole bunch of Safricans hoping that Rathbone DOESN'T get hurt :D Mind you, yellow is quite an appropriate colour for him, isn't it? ;)

now THAT is a diffenrent story !
I will never ever stab my country, the supporters and springbok team in the back they way he did. I don't care what they say about opportunities this and opportunities that, bla bla bla. Players wait a lifetime for a sniff of that green and gold, he couldn't wait untill he was 20 ?? Don't tell me he tried, that's B.S. Try is someone like Os (Pieter du Randt) who's been away for 2 seasons and at the age of 32 joins the national team again. Now that's a true south african ...............

Hi there,

Thats OK

Not many Kiwis about anyway.

I've been a bit nocturnal myself, been at work on the night shift. Back to normal hours again.

I sailed down the East Coast of S.A. back in the 80's. Very beautiful with a wildness to it all. Anchored in behind Cape of Good Hope while a blow came through. Stayed a while in Durban, East Londom, Pt Elizabeth, Knysna, Hout Bay, Cape Town. Sailed out into the Sth Atlantic up to St Helena stopping at Dassen Is before leaving your coast. Still got some big pearlimon shells from our dive at Dassen Is.

Cheers Ian.

Hi Marc,

Yeh it was great. My partner and myself were away for 6 years [b4 kids] Seems like another lifetime now.

We built the steel 38' yacht ourselves, LR style [built tuff] and just went 4 a sail. Ended up half way round the world in Washington DC where I have a brother, kept on going and ended back in Kiwi land.

When we left Cape Town a S.A. couple sailed with us up to the Caribean. They were really into diving so had some great times with them.

Cheers Ian :)

Hi there,

I'm the reverse of 90mile, I'm from the UK but brought my family and 110 over to NZ in December of last year, and we all now reside on the North Shore.

It took me 6 months to get the Landy through all the import and compliance testing rigmarol, but I'm now reaping the benefits with some top class outings with the local club.

Hi guys, not only a fiercely proud Kiwi but also a fiercely proud ( well quite keen anyway) mainlander, from Nelson, the Top of the South.
Actually, parochialism aside, I travelled enough when younger to believe that we're lucky to come from whereever in these fair isles that we hail from. Pity that LR parts aren't a bit cheaper out here & one area the JAFAs have got it over us, more Landy businesses & a better supply of wreckers for parts.Keep it up Kiwis;) Cheers, Steve.

Fellow Kiwi here....

Quick rundown on me:
- live in Thames on the Coromandel Peninsula (Ex-Jafa born & bred...had to get out!!)
- had a SIIA 88" for 5 years when I was studying about 10 years ago
- currently run a Discovery 300Tdi
- manage to get away on a few of the trips with the Land Rover Owners Club (Auckland)
- bit of a nut on any Land Rover related topics & read up any info I can find!

Cheaper LR parts would be nice. Amazing that is can be cheaper to get bits sent from the UK than buy local in NZ!!

Good to be here!

Cheers
