What O/S maps are these routes on ?

I'm trying to find as many nice routes as possible as in winter I plan to take my 74 year old grandmother out on the lanes when the days are short etc etc... she used to walk in wales and now can't so she really likes the day out in the landy.....

Blimey, that's quite a place to get stuck. Wouldn't it of made sense to go up the other less steep side, James?

jjsaul
28th Aug 2005, 22:37
The other side was bog, on foot you sank to about 6inches +......

Cheers for organising an excellent day Ant, bloody good job you had that winch mate or we'd all be there now

The reason i was on the side was because going in the middle way got us stuck so i tried the side and got even more stuck :p

So we went for the middle and a winch in the end.

BTW that pic of ours was when we were being used as a middle block to tow Mark out.....hence the strap going from our tow hitch to his JATE ring....!

yes it is mate, the hole looks to have been made by the back wheels of a tractor as when i went into it(my tyres are 34'') i just sank! the rest of the lane is good, two more muddy holes towards capel have been filled in with gradings and are firm underfoot(undertyres)

Seems you had a nice day:D.

Next time your out and about this way, if any ones got a spare seat, wouldn't mind tagging along. I haven't done any laning before, but pretty good gate opener, pusher (don't mind a bit of mud:D) and handy with a digital SLR.
