I was just looking at the Ordance Survey map for my local area and realized that there was hardly any byways. I am going to get onto the local council, and try and find some but i think it is weird.

Also, for the amount of LR's about around this area there are no LR specalists or anything. Which i think is weird!!

I understand that this is farming country, but doesn't anyone else find it weird?

Aye, I've been looking around north Northumberland, and there is a distinct lack of BOAT's & RUPP's there as well (loads of bridalways). Noticed an ad in LROI recently for an organised green lane run based in Hexham. Might be worth looking it that direction.

Cheers,
Ross.

Lots of lanes get lost as the maps get updated over the years ..
Your fist stop should probably be the library and ask for old o/s maps if they have them and you do the homework looking for lanes .
Once you have your selection if you have any at all contact the cumbria row officer and enquire as to the lanes you have found status .....

Easier said though ;)
