Hi I was wondering if any of u Maltesers are using Colway Tires on your landys. I found out some good reviews about them on the net and also on this forum but don't know what are they up to on our 'roads'. Also I would like to know if they are worth buying or there are any other brands worth considering. Budget is around lm140 (4 wheels), and also I am not looking for offroad competition wheels..... ATs are what I'm mainly after.

Thanks and Regards
Joseph

Hi Joe, I had colway all terrain tyres fitted on my series when i bought it. All the sidewalls were cracked, and the previous owner told me that they were fitted just 3 years earlier, and no serious offroading was done with them!
I am currently running on Enduro AT tyres, which I have fitted last year, no problems untill now, and they seem to be quite good on road and for greenlaning. They cost around 40 each.
Another alternative at the same price are the Eco Daytona. Imo, they are the best for looks and offroad capability, as my brother has them. Regards their durability, I dont know yet, as he has fitted them recently, but they seem to be made of a soft compound material which might wear out quickly.

Thanks for your advice! I have a set of 'ranger grip' remoulds/rethreads at the moment and the are all cracked after 5 years of use. They are made out of a soft compund as well. They give incredibly great handling but their durability suffers.

Eco Daytona lifetime is usually about three years. I've had mine for just over two years and they're about half worn. I'll change them by the end of next season. Apart from tearing one tyre and having to replace it last month, I really can't complain about them. Great on the road and even better off it!
