Ok found these photos just now of a greenlaning trip that Pete, Paul, Moses, Lisa, Harriet, Becky and I did last summer. All of which are in the pics, except Harriet that is who was taking them!!!

Get your snorkels and flippers out tis going to be really good fun! Whitewolf the snorkel takes priority mate! the rest of it is if you have time!! that includes clothes!!

The good news is that the water running down these rivers is crystal clear! so no real mud! almost all of the crossings are hard based too, so diff guards and steering protectors should be 2nd and 3rd on the list of things to do before pack clothes and tent!!!! Having said that I only got one diff knock last time! Some of the track is a little rutted and the disco on 205s scrapped its diff along the centre hump! is a good thing he had a QT rockslider!!

Seems the pump was changed in july 1992 and I ahve the previous part fromt he first half of 92!!!!

16 vehicles is really taking the pee, they should have had 3 or 4 groups with at least a 20 min interval, but that would mean more guides and eat into their profit.......If they meet horses or a group of vociferous walkers, it doesn't do our image much good. I felt like a criminal doing the Gap road with only 2 vehicles before Easter (when it was open), it was a sunny day and loads of walkers were looking daggers at us.

When PeteH, Moses and I did the Strata last summer we came across a group of 8/9 vehicles on a corporate day out with a company that has the anagram "Ford Signals". Many of the peeps were just watching a few that were driving up the rivers and scrambling up and down the banks blatantly ignoring the actual rights of way! Absolutely incredible!! These peeps must of been aware of the current laning issues!!

Such a pity a big company such as them were involved in such reckless and irresponcible behavior! certainly it has tarnished my opinion of them and as such I haven't bought anything from them!

Well, all I can say is what a brilliant weekend, great lanes, great company and great scenery.

Even the weather didnt try to hard to dampen things.:D

As for the convoy of *#@* , as if 16 vehicles in one run isn't bad enough..it worse ( only 4/5 landrovers )...this trip appears to have been orgainsed by ' landrover Enthusiast' magazine , one of their trips is advertised for last sunday in the area..bloody irresponcible.:eek:

PS Mike - have you seen my thread in the computer section about www.onspeed.com ? I've signed up to it and through my 30k connection I'm now getting the equivalent speed to 180k + :)
