I spent a week in a cottage by the sea there once. I think it was a place called Fethard-on-Sea, near Gorey. It was 1983, so I expect it has changed a bit now!

Dia duit,
Conas ata tu?
I just saw the random message in the last post and I thought that I'd see if I could get a response.
I am studying in Wales so I've got an English landy and as I spend most of my time in Wales its got significantly cheaper insurance and tax!:p Diesel is not so going home involves getting as much as possible into it before getting the ferry back!

KKK2, how modified is your 110 and what have you got under the bonnet?
Just interested to see if its a turbo like mine?

Ta'm go maith.

I run a 110 with a 200tdi fitted with an allard intercooler and a 300tdi turbo .
It has a full roll cage, hydraulic winch front and electric winch on the rear . Detroit locker on the rear and a trutrac limited diff in front. It runs on 35" tyres with no lift what so ever!

The 110 started out life as a normally exasperated :D landrover

Did you fit all that kit yourself? Its just is there anywhere in Munster that would even consider doing anything like that!:( I doubt our good friends in Top Car would even consider. I'm just dieing to pull up and ask them to do a complete restoration on my 90! Would certainly get a good responce!!:p I've got a turbo but I'm really considering putting a 200tdi in mine just to give me the higher speed and economy.

JohnBoy, most land rovers represent a shed full of bits, spares anyway!! Lets see some pics and I'll put some more on!:D

I agree Paddy is a good friend of mine and they have most things for landrovers, however Johnothan Crozier (Crozier 4x4) has a good stock of stuff also.

Dia dhuit, taim go maith freisin.

Ta mo dhearthair ina conai igContae Corcaigh anois, ach nil Land Rover aige!

Ta bron orm mar ta mo gaeilge go huafasach! Ta me ina gconai i Sasana le do bliana o hin agus ta an duine o an Bhreatain Bheag an amadan mhor mar ni raibh siad abalta ag caint i gaelige! Duirt siad i breatnach agus ni raibh aon duine abalta le fios di.

I think that I'd better say something in English now so that at least some people can understand what I'm saying. Each time I go home (not that often considering the price of the boats! ) there appears to be more and more land rovers on the road though! It does amaze me how they can take the of them so much and yet their 'Jap craps' dont last more than 3 years:rolleyes: ! Ahh well. The black stuff is much better than the **** thats served in the bars round here and sold as guinness.

Hi KKK,

I think Jonathan Crozier is in the midlands somewhere... offaly i think...a very nice guy..spoke to him on the phone looking for prices etc...sent me on catalogue for bearmach parts and accessories which he sells..

Paddy is closer to me...so i have got anything off crozier 4x4 yet...

As for gougane barra forest ..is that an open track for the public to drive because as you know its very hard to find tracks to drive over here..and it would be great to drive different tracks..

well I drove it in my focus on saturday, tis mostly tarmac, but there did seem to be a few trails which were beyond what I wanted to subject my car to (and i'll drive a car into some stupid stuff) and they didn't seem to have gates on them, which was nice
