It was awsome and some real impressive vehicles but how much damage was done?
I had better stop my comments there.

Hey Cil111, the event was great, to say the least!! I was backing-up George and it was tiring enough with that let alone competing!! WELL DONE to all participants!! ;) Gozo was exceptionally beautiful and topped the event quite well!! So WELL DONE to all organisers, it must mean a lot of hard work on their side too to get such an event going!!
Buzz as to damage, for what we've seen damage was minimal. Idare say it was like having a punctured tyre in a greenlaning event. It's still a damage but percentage-wise it's small.
Body damage also played a good part but that's very cheap to fix on those vehicles....and quite expected!!!!!:p
Anyway, hope to see another good one soon............
I don't care for vehicle damage, that can be repaired!... ;)

dborg regarding damage I think you didn't understand what buzz meant. I think he meant for agricutlural damage..... the only part of the race I saw, left quite some damage behind but it was still great

Hey buzz
true that some damage was done but beleive me looks worse than it really is... most of the damage to places is done by other natural means like... flooding u hekk...
true that some damage to greenery is done but believe me it regenerates itself very quickly... give it a month or so and go to the same place..you will not notice that anything or anyone passed there at all...
at least that is the way i have always seen things...

I liked it :D
Even though I only was there Friday night.
I've seen some of the pics on the websites posted... very cool in gozo apparently!

It will regenerate itself if given enough time without 4X4 passing from there.

I know what you mean Cil111, and I appreciate what your saying. Insomma don't get me wrong ta, cos if I had the cash I'd make one of those offroaders too and attempt the competition. Cos it looks a great thing to participate in.
Just for the buzz if nothing else. The Mrs even volunteered to navigate kieku!! hehehehe ;)

believe me not many cars can pass from where they have passed so there is your answer...

Call it what you want but if the competing vehicles don't do the 'damage' then our precious government's own heavy machinery will do it...........on order of some agricultural and environmental guru!!!
And, mind you, those government vehicles (gafef u x'naf jien) are not even road worthy :o
PROSIT AND WELL DONE once again to all organisers and marshalls on this event!!
