Could anyone give me advice on greenlanes in these areas. Or where i can get info?
I know you can use Peddars way in Norfolk but am not sure when you can use it and which bits?

hi Tenderometer,
just about all green lanes in Cambs are closed for the winter. Most will reopen 1 April but some will get TRO extensions because they'll still be wet and soft.
Cambs CC has some maps on its website: http://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/sub/cntryside/maps.htm. Don't take them as gospel (ie definitive)!
If you go into Northants, which may be too far away if you're close to Norfolk, their lanes are still open but with 'tread lightly' warnings posted - in other words threat of closure if misused.

Cheers Jandude, I will probably give it a better look in the spring as i'm doing lots of hours at work and haven't got the time. The spring seems a nicer time to go anyway and i don't wanna annoy anyone, or stop access just because i want to drive along a track.

good plan, I reckon.
You could also speak to a local off-road club. Have a look at http://www.peterborough4x4.btinternet.co.uk. I'm a member and they do regular trips year-round. They go all over, including Norfolk and Lincs. If it's geographically convenient they might be worth your joining. I found them a welcoming bunch (they do TRVs too - had a go, mucho fun; will do them again when time allows).
LRO carries a list of clubs every month. I'm away at the mo but when I get home, sieve of a brain allowing, I'll look up the ones reasonably local to you and post details.

Had a quick look around found the local Norfolk website no mention of lanes, but an email to them should get you some info. ;)
