Well said, that man. Weekend gypsies, the lot of 'em.
caravan owners pah, too posh to rough it in a tent if you ask me. there's not many things go slower than a lightweight but even i get frustrated behind the bl**dy pikey wagons. still it's all a matter of personal choice.

Nuff said! Sorry I dont agree not all caravan owners drive slow, ive seen middle aged men driving like tw***s and theyve got no excuse to be crap at driving.I think everyone over the age of 30 should re-take there test, I bet half of us would fail!

Caravaners are not the biggest problem on the roads .
The one kind of motorist that causes me most grief .
them Bloody Australians in old slow beat up VW campers with surfboards on the roof:Cross:

Actually...the biggest problem I found today were the impatient psychos that overtake on blind corners because they can't wait till the next time I pull in to let people by (which I do on a regular basis). Why is everyone in such a ruch to save 2 maybe 3 minutes?

to all the non-caravan believers out there - don't knock it until you've tried it!!!! cos once you have, you won't go back!!!!
although chucking a tent in the back of the landy is a bit easier than getting a caravan ready - if you are going away for longer than a weekend then the caravan is the way to go!
been camping for over ten years and still do but definitely prefer the caravan for longer holidays!
and by the way re the argument about caravans being allowed on the road - how many drivers get fed up with having to drive behind folk towing double axle trailers, laden with off road machines to competitions????? surely a trailer with a landy on board is heavier than most of the caravans these days and must be slower?
pot kettle black guys!!!!

During my travels up and down the A1 yesterday towing my trailer with axles and a Perky onboard, i noticed that the traffic was all keeping to the speed limit :yay:
The reason was that all the caravaners were out in force heading off for Easter hols , you can say what you like but anything that helps to reduce the maniac speedsters on any dangerous main trunk road gets a big thumbs up from me....

Yep and it's not bad either.
About time they found a use for the bloody useless things!
The bunch of wallflowers I was travelling with, (all Volvo Truck service managers) couldn't stomach it, so as the only actual driver there, I couldn't let the side down. :p
