I found a new track today. :D It runs from Arrochar, round the back ot the Cobler and on to Loch Lomond. :) I only got about half way along it as the track was covered in snow and I was the only vehicle there, but it looks like a nice wee run. :) It's not very long though, it comes out at Inverulas near the power station.

No. :( It came down quite heavy but it didn't stay long. Higher up on the track it was ok.

So when did you go on that track?

Hiya. The easiest was to find it would be from Arrocher. Go through the village towards the Rest and turn left to the wooden foresrty houses. Follow the road away from the loch, keep to the left. You will pass a house with a beast of a Range Rover on the drive (assuming he hasn't driven it that day :p). Follow the track till after it turns left and you come to a junction. Take the left junction up the hill. Keep going till you come to another junction (you're now high up above Arrocher), turn right, head up there. The track leads to a weir. After that it turns into a Hydro board road. :)

Hi

That sounds like the route our club has as a GRR. I think thats the one with the massive hole dug inside the mountain to hold water for loch sloy power station. When you get to the top near a ruined farm house, there's a path to an iron gate(locked). thats the access gate to the inside of the mountain. We had a guided tour of it with a chap that works for the Hydro.
very interesting.
