I've got a Midland in the 110. I used to have a Danita but that's stopped working. :dunno1: I used to be known as Blue Bus when I was in the SIII. Don't really have a handle now. :)

I know all about that! I picked my Alinco up from the Post Office this morning, and its sitting on my desk charging up. Have paid a visit to JC and purchased an antenna and mount and a speaker/mike. I'll possibly fit them over the next day or so whilst waiting on the call sign from RA.

Hello all,
I use a Motorola Micom-2ET transceiver with a helically wound 4ft fibreglass whip mounted on the rear RHS of the roofrack. Works like a dream. I also sometimes carry around a Yaesu FT-817 but it's a bit low powered for real HF work.
I have another Motorola Micom permanently connected up at home, connected to the telephone line. I can send and receive e-mails as well as access the telephone network from most places I visit. Just a pity I can't "surf" - only e-mail at this stage.
BTW, the callsign is ZS6HZ
Regards,
Marc
