Hi,

I strongly suggest that you also read the press releases & associated info on the GLASS site :

http://www.glass-uk.org/

While your there why not join up if your not already a member. The more members GLASS has the less of a 'minority' sport association it is.

Read up on the sites and write to your local MP (in your own words of cause) or go see your MP. If you don't know who that person is then use this site :

http://www.faxyourmp.com/index.php3

Does anyone know of a high profile celeb that will support us and get media attention to put across our point of view and also show the lies put out by anti-groups as lies and distortions of the truth.

Do TOUR bit else don't complain when the only off-roading you can do is at a pay & play site !!!

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED..... the battle lines are drawn... this is the call to arms....

Cheers,

Hi again,

Just thought, can this thread be made a sticky as it affects ALL owners that enjoy a bit of laning now and all those prospective owners that won't buy a landy if we loose this valuable part of our heritage. Can the forum auto send this thread to every member as it's so important to our passtime.

Cheers,

Having read the Defra proposels and the Glass and Lara statements we need to get our fingers out.
Allmost all of the counties have one or more LR clubs.Surely between them and individuels we could research and record the lanes/tracks /rupps/boat's.Maybe all this information could be sent to Glass
I know some selfish people like to keep routes to themselves but this is not the time for selfiness.
On another note i notice in America the 4x4 clubs adopt a lane, which i know can be hard to organise in this country due to local and county councils not wanting to do.

This should idealy be in the Green Lane Forum, so I'll leave it here but copy it over to there where I can sticky it :)
Suggest all replies get posted in the Green Lane forum.

Ok faxed my MP.
Will keep an eye on this thread for more support.

We have to fight this all the way!!!!!

Should we be displaying posters in our vehicles, can we design one so that we can print it off from the fourm this would be quick and cheap.

Just a thought we pay road tax to drive these lanes,
perhaps a walking boot tax should be imposed :p

I agree with Graham, someone on the forum will have the talent to design a LOUD poster we can all print off and put in our Landy's

Come on guys lets not loose this.

Looks like there is a lot if interest in this subject then.

what would the in-car posters say? 'Keep our Green Lanes open'? Or would it also need to a call to action? If so, what would someone do to register their support?

Would a PDF file with an A4 message on be OK to download and print out?

Don't look like anyone is interested Frosty.

If this is the amount of interest, we have lost the lanes.

So why should we bother.:Idunno:

Well .. it's after Feb 1st that the EDM was trying to get RUPPs automatically re-classified on. Any sign of closures around ?

I heard from Oxfordshire RoW that they don't know what's going on with RUPPs, and Cambs RoW that it's all systems go still. Someone said that Northants has TRO'd all RUPPs as an intermediate measure, not sure that's true though ..

All systems go still, or not ?

Cheers

Apparently Northants have TRO'd almost _everything_ with 6 month temporary closures, on the grounds of 'protecting' the surfaces. Very few lanes are open, and those that are apparently are being 'watched' ...
