In early 2008 we will undertake the build of a Six-Up LR based FC as a Junior Leaders engineering design project.
Anyone interested in a rolling report via the forum of the mechanics, engineering design and progress of this project once it is underway?
No sense in writing if you ain't interested.eh :p
If you were to give the write up in the restoration section (work in progress) a lot of people would be interested. Remember not everyone reads the Canada section so they probably aren't aware of it. In the work in progress section there is always a lot of interest.
Go for it. Sooner or later what you post there will also be of help to someone.

Ok,we now have the donor vehicles for this project ready for chopping and dismantling.
They are :- 1-GS 110 LHD ex Brit MOD, 2-GS Ser 111 LWB's RHD ex Brit MOD,and a Range Rover Command Car ex NATO forces.
We were given a 2b FC Fire Truck but it would be sacrilege to chop it up
Once we start into it I will post pics.

The Plan.
Chassis (First action): - Cut the 110 just rear of the gearbox mounts and discard the after-end.
Cut one of the 109's just rear of the gearbox cross member and discard the front-end.
Weld and plate both the 110 and the 109 ends together creating a 110 wheel base. Now having a coiled front and leafed rear.As in a Jeep design.
