At last I got the service LR Menlyn are best known for. I went in looking for a gearbox drain plug and copper washer. They quoted R80 for the drain plug :eek: and R20 for the washer:eek::eek::eek:, but didn't have either in stock and didn't offer to order them.
Next was to try LR Centurion, who also didn't have stock, but did order them. Yesterday when I went in to collect the washer (they couldn't get me a drain plug) it hadn't arrived, so the parts guy got out their box of assorted copper washers and gave me an assortment for nothing. In the process he also gave me a LR cap.
So once again, LR stealers are giving me things. I must go across to the vehicle sales side and look at a new Rangie.
