We've just spent another weekend in Wales, based from Llanerchindda farm. Unusually all the cars were petrol powered, V8's and a 2.0 litre. Ahh, the peace and quiet...:D

Looks like fun, I don't recognise number 3 either, but know all the others. It looks like an intersting lane, where is it if you don't mind saying?

The trees in pic 2 look like something out of a Stephen King novel.

We did see 5 black riders. We hid in some tree roots and kept very still. I resisted putting the ring on, and they road off. Later we managed to get across the lake - they couldn't make it over the water, and we were safe.

I'm not looking forward to the next 2 episodes, but hey ho, middle earth is at stake...

Cheers matey - we had a good time. Dom's car seems to have been cured of its dislike of water thanks to some new leads and dizzy cap.

Wilts T hunt is planned for 29th Dec (the Saturday after Christmas) Start point is Upavon, exact location tba. I plan to do a recce on 8th and 9th Dec (anyone around to help out?). Having considered a cache hunt I have been advised that its not such a great idea on a military practice area, so will stick with clues.

Yeah - no kidding. A couple of years ago Bob found 2000 rounds of ammo on the lane. Must have fallen off the back of a truck or summat.

Paul

If you want the grid refs I'll post them 100% sure on a couple of pic's 95% on the others, great lanes with local names as well. Videos show the route a well, very close to our own cab video, all lanes done about a year ago.

Up to last year would spend at least a week rough camping up there, once after 7 days on the way down meet another group coming up so went round again for the next few days great fun. Never meet anyone up there, always very carefull where to camp, small fires, no mess, never meet a sole.

Hi guys
Some great pics and video footage there. I recognise most of the places from the video links, but would i be correct in thinking that some of those lanes are (supposedly) closed, post-NERC bill?

I'm not being judgemental, just trying to see what other guys are doing, and what other people's attitudes are to RBs in 2007. I know most people are driving the Gap Road, so are they driving others such as Sarn Helen (on vid 3) and the Lane from hell etc?

What do the rest of you do???

Cheers lads, once more, I'm not being Anti (more the opposite!)

Since you ask, keep quiet and not advertise it.

It just so happens quite a few groups now would'nt post anything on the web, not even telling people where they have been legal or otherwise, do so and you don't get asked out again.

Since some of us like going out with these groups have to "obey" the rules and I accept that.

Hi guys

No.

At the risk of being blunt, but in the interest of giving you a succinct and clear response I'm sure you'll understand. A marking on an OS map is not definitive. Can I recommend that you read part 6 of the NERC bill also?

- Although not driven, the Gap is a road with clear historical pre 1930 evidence which is why it remains open.
- Many roads on the OS are marked as RUPPs - but are infact Byways.
- Primary use by MPV's in the 5 year period leading up to NERC can exempt a route from having its vehicular rights removed in certain circumstances.
- Where a route is clearly a road there may be claims outstanding; I drive these routes with claims on. Take the LFH as an example - it has a road bridge and a streetlamp at the bottom!!

BTW - I wish you'd pm'd me like many others have.

Speaking of flat sides - the Bowler in the pic is known as Barbie on account of its pink chassis and roll cage. I think yours would look very fetching in this colour scheme Dale:D
