Has anyone been greenlaning just north of Calver recently. Speciifically the lanes off of the Eyam road?
The council have cut the trees back and tarmac'd them!!!
What's that all about then????
:confused2

Very environmentally un-friendly, that there tarmacing the trees!
Someone ought to start a petition to get it banned!

Ah ha, now I see the error of my ways...
Cut the trees back and tarmac'd the lane. It's a shame too because these were steep narrow lanes covered in tree roots and rocky steps.
Now I could almost drive my car up them.

Only snag is we get blamed for damaging the lanes and one of our arguements back is that they should be looked after and repaired and then bloody Derbyshire County Council waste our council tax tarmacing them and spoiling our fun:Cross:
Bit of a catch 22 situation this one:Countdown

I agree. Another problem is the surface is now sort of gravelly cinders.. give it a few months and it'll be cut to pieces. Guess who'll get all the blame????
